Well, consider that "nuts" and "hexes" are both named after literal hex nuts with a wire through them, i don't think that nut vs hex distinction really matters

dmm offsets are amazing! Continue the love as the HB offsets take the size smaller. Dmm half nuts are also the business but they are hard to get out..

That's quite an assortment of mixed nuts. 😋 I'm a little surprised about the brass versions because they seem like the heaviest choice and brass is so soft as a metal. Do they perform as well as other designs? Do they fail differently or earlier relative to KN? As much as I like the force testing table you constructed in your lab, I do think that the drop testing you used to do applied the load forces in a much more narrow period of time than the hydraulic cylinder does as it in my mind simulates the smooth continuous addition of "additional weight" (force though technically) to the components under testing up until and through their failure. So many questions! This is the best channel for how you examine all these items scientifically speaking! 🤔

I understand that most people go with the DMM offsets but I personally love my BD offsets. BUT I could just be a fan boy

I use the bd offsets purely because they’re easier to get out tbh
