Something about Cells return in this is unmatched. The dusty dark atmosphere. The reaction of Vegeta added to it when you know someone as unbreakable as him is just trembling they could all just feel his ki and Goku was now gone. They really captured the hopeless feeling and the ending is done amazing for how old this game is

I came back for the cutscenes and music, some of my best memories on the ps2 come from this game. I struggle on the special beam cannon mini game, I struggled against final form frieza and I DEFINITELY struggled against cell but it definitely felt earned when I eventually beat the game.
