Speaking of consuming content intentionally, I think another thing you can do is look at what you watch regularly and see if you find an effect, transition, or editing style you haven't done before!

Honestly, this video helped me in how to properly reach out to potential clients. I've been editing for almost 4 years now (since 14), but I've always wondered how the heck I'll be able to find clients. I was always in that mentality of: "What's the point, they probably wont see it..". I see that's a taboo mentality to have in a profession where marketing yourself correctly is key to finding work. People say that I'm still very young for this (18), but I believe this is the best time to start.
