I forced 8 children to live alone in The Sims 1

The Sims 1 let you have a family of just kids. I decided it would be fun to test out living in that house.

Turns out, it's really not fun.

Letting 8 sim children live in a house on their own in The Sims 1 has broken me.

As a fan of the 1990s US tv show “3rd Rock From The Sun” I was hoping you’d name one of the girls Sally as the four aliens on the show visiting Earth pretending to be humans are named Tommy, Dick, Harry, and Sally.

Watching you play Sims 1 reminds me of all the chaos that game had and it similar chaos was the norm for Maxis games back then. This was a lot of fun to watch! At least none of them died in a fire or anything. They survived, at least long enough to be the responsibility of the military school. I also forgot that the pizza only had six slices! Wow!

Clearly in this case the grandparents would care enough to send money but not enough to do anything about 8 kids living unsupervised!

This, sort of, reminds me my very first Sims gameplay, where I stupidly created family of two adults and six kids. It went OK, until the parents died in fire. Unlike you, I didn't have it in me to actually play with the kids, so, I started again with way smaller family. Funny thing is, nowadays, I love to play with big families with kids, I find that funny, yet challanging, but back then, my inexperienced me just couldn't handle that.

This is so frustrating to watch. Sims literally tell you what they need - these kids are desperate for fun and comfort and you're only taking care of hunger and sleep.
