Alex Dainis was at NASA Johnson Space Center to get the first look at the next humans to walk on the Moon. NASA has announced the names of the astronauts who will be part of the first crewed mission to the Moon as part of the Artemis program. The crew will consist of two NASA astronauts, a Canadian Space Agency astronaut, and a European Space Agency astronaut. This mission, known as Artemis III, is scheduled to launch in 2024 and will be the first crewed mission to the Moon since 1972. The goal of the Artemis program is to establish a sustainable presence on the Moon, with the ultimate goal of sending humans to Mars. This announcement marks a significant step forward in NASA's efforts to return humans to the Moon and explore the solar system.
