While in orbit, NASA astronauts Robert Behnken and Douglas Hurley captured stunning views of our home planet Earth.

The duo made history May 30 when they launched from American soil in a commercially built and operated American crew spacecraft to the International Space Station. Their mission and test flight is helping NASA certify SpaceX’s crew transportation system for regular flights carrying astronauts to and from the orbiting laboratory.

I am reading through these comments and I see how so many people are inspired to join or be a part of NASA.
I wish you all the courage and PERSEVERANCE to REACH YOUR DREAM/SOON REALITY. I am counting on seeing on space television one day.

Study as hard as you can, and you will get there, believe in yourself, your dream, your goal, keep your passion high up at difficulties, keep faith and go on. One day you will join them. 👌👍🇳🇱
Would have loved to see Europe from that altitude, @msterdam by night must be awesome. Ahh well maybe at the next one when they read my comment😁🇳🇱.

Love these pics but why are they adding in particle effects over them? Looks a bit silly

It’s been almost a decade since one of the most legendary spacecrafts of all time, the Space Shuttle, retired. Keeping NASA from HTS launches, we relied on the Soyuz to put our guys in space. Not only was that a difficult system, but our communication with Russia was scattered. I’m so happy to see that Elon and the rest of the Space X team, has succeeded in one of their goals. Not only have they mastered landing the Falcon 9s for reuse, but they have successfully launched humans to space. Giving the United States, a viable HTS launch system. Crew-1 is coming up in September and the Demo-2 crew, will be returning home today. I wish for both Bob and Doug, a safe reentry! We will all be waiting for your safe return!
