no screen at all pop out and the game say it launch but after 2 sec it shut down without anything pop out so no screen pop after i click play and i tried many of fixes fro going back to windows 8 and im using a pretty recent computer i have no idea anymore to try to fix the launching issue

I tried all of these my game won’t load it always says it’s running but it doesn’t pop up anything I looked in field for the stuff everyone says to look for and found nothing so idk at this point

You can also try removing the -debug from the launch options

I talked to a guy in pz tech support about it. He says that there may be something blocking the .exe file from running but from my experience, alternative start can still work

For me when I'm hosting a server it just says autherizing through steam and doesn't load shit

Go to game files and try loading the ProjectZomboid32 instead of 64 then see which mods are causing conflicts

I need help so here is a brief history i got the game and it didn’t work because of a mod and it was my own fault as i found out. I I did all the streps till I figured it out and it was running fine I even added more mods. Now somthing else entirely is happening I did all your steps and everything i could find online but nothing is working. What’s happening is my game gets to the main menu and i can continue untill i hit play then it shuts down completely and im back at my steam library page. I should also add when it loads up the screen turns black trying to get me in the game but im chucked back to the steam library but i go down to my hot bar and the game is still running and i can click on it and everything happens just as i have explained.

I found this exact process through Google 🙄 guess what? None of it worked. Maybe oh, I dunno, show what could be corrupting my files???? I don't use mods so this pisses me off. I uninstalled this game once after we were done playing it (played for a couple WEEKS mind you) and golly gee it's still not working! Nowhere online has yet solved my issue and yet I'm the only one?? I run Hogwarts legacy for f*cks sake, this is asinine!!

My situation is much like everyone else's in the comments section. I've also tried all types of fixes to no avail. However, I finally fixed it. I uninstalled Project Zomboid and got a refund. Done.😝

Never run a program as administrator if you dont know what are you doing. A game NEVER requires administrator privileges.
