God's Pruning | Christian Growth

Показать описание
God is in the business of pruning! He has to be…in order to grow us and mature us to be able to bear what He has created us to bear.
God’s pruning. Put another way, God breaks us.
He takes away those things that are sucking the life our of us, breaks those habits that are tainting the fruit, and breaks us in order to build us.
God’s pruning. For a purpose and for a desired end. Jesus Christ has need of you, but in order to fill that need for which you have been rebirthed to handle, He must work your life and situations accordingly.
So, He prunes, He breaks, He makes ready.
And the goodness of our God is that along the way, the fruit we bear is consumed by those we walk beside and interact with. For me this is playing out in my sons. I thought God was just preparing me to reach nations with this Gospel, but the grace of God is such, that as He was making me ready for that, He allowed the fruit that I was bearing in my life currently…reach my son.
He confessed Christ because of what was bore in our home.
It is so beautiful.
How’d it happen?
God pruned/broke me.
The breaking isn't fun…but I promise you I wouldn’t change a thing about it as I witnessed the first of three of my boys confess Jesus Christ as His Lord and Savior.
Let God work in the pruning and pain of it.
The impact will be beyond what you can imagine.
God bless.
