Which Smoker Pellets Should I Try Next?

I’ve smoked with charcoal and wood for years and a handful of times on a pellet smoker. I started with the Pit Boss pellets which worked fine, but tried the Costco Pellets to see if I could save a few bucks. Unfortunately, they have so much dust that they continuously clogged the auger. I could sift them, but I’d rather not. Before buying my next bag, I thought I’d ask you all. Which pellets do you like the best?

Lumberjack. Great price point and if I remember correctly, allot of other pellet brands source theirs through them.

Only ever used the traeger ones. They're pretty good. but they're like £18 for 9kg in the UK. And 1 overnight smoke in summer for short ribs it's about 800g per hour of smoke for me (at 275°f) ended up buying a bag from Costco, it's half as much money, and 2x more pellets. Wish I saw this video before spending £8 on a bag of 18kg

Cuisinart are surprisingly good, I found them at Walmart. Good flavors too. I really like the cherry rum.

Charcoal pellets work good for me with one or two pellet tube's for smoke instead of wood chunks

Bear mountain or Smokehouse from Sam's club. Both made by the same company. They work very well.

Bear Mountain is my go to, if not Pit Boss is my backup option.

Jealous Devil, next to no ash, great flavour, yes a fair bit of dust but an amazing pellet for me. Knottywood being the best I've tried so far but nobody in Australia stocks it.... you should also try smokin Pecan pellets.

Haven’t tried them yet, but those charcoal pellets look promising because they are moisture resistant and are supposed to give you that charcoal flavor.

I have been using the Costco pellets for a few mouths in my pit boss and I really like them they are a bit ashy but haven't had any jams yet and I like the flavour

Lumber Jack. I'm a dealer. Better than Traeger and Pit Boss. All natural, no oil, no dust

I've used the Costco. Pellets had no problem with them, the Kirkland brand. I believe there trigger.

I couldn’t agree more you get what you pay for Kirkland created to much dust and the auger was damp

The Costco pellets also really don’t taste that good either aside from all their dustiness

I've been using Kirkland on my gorilla grill, and meh, not much smoke flavor
Id like to try other brands

You know they use wood oils and all that right?
The general consensus is they are far from the best.
