Assessment of Elastomeric Respirators in Healthcare Delivery Settings: Routine Elastomeric Use and Evaluations in Healthcare (REUsE)
The audience for this webinar includes healthcare professionals, respiratory protection program managers, first responders, safety leadership, and healthcare leadership. The webinar presents the findings of three-month longitudinal study that followed healthcare professionals as they used elastomeric half-mask respirators (EHMRs) during patient care and other normal duties. The aim of this study was to understand healthcare professionals’ opinions on and problems with using EHMRs before, during, and after three months of EHMR use during normal patient care duties. Healthcare professionals were also instructed in how to disinfect their EHMR between patients, and their reflections on the disinfection methods were collected during the study.
