Excellent video. Elastomeric respirators should become the norm. Why go for 95% protection with N95s when you can get 99.97% protection with N100 or P100? Not to mention the reliability of the seal over repeated usage + wear and tear.

Why have neither Presidents allowed use of respirators in hospitals? (I have a lot of family in medical) They simply are not allowed. And they should be. If there were enough respirators for the entire US or World, this pandemic would have ended in June 2020 with the lock downs. Something we really need to fix and make sure we have enough, because there's always a next time. Endemics happen frequently enough. In the USA we had enough for medical after President Bush Jr read a book on the 1900 "Spanish flu" pandemic. And then in 2016ish the hospitals and everywhere threw it all away. We can not let this happen again.

I'm looking for a way to provide source control for the exhalation valve in my 3M 7502 elastomeric respirator. At 6:52, a mask is shown over the downward-pointing exhalation valve of a 3M respirator. Exactly how is it secured?

If one can smell things, wearing a well fitting 3M 7500 series Elastomeric Respirator with 3M 7093 P100 paricles filters, should the filters be replaced?
