I think we've got it backwards. Jesus came to do his Father's will... not his own. We should not be preoccupied with whether God is active in our lives. We should actively pursue pleasing God by putting his words in our hearts. Then, and only then, can we be like Christ.

In the west we have no idea of our need for Christ and very few have been refined by the refiners fire, in this land, and in this time of plenty and relative security.
Most people have no real need of Christ unless we can reduce Him into an insurance policy and or someone that will fulfil our ideals.
I do believe the persecuted church have been praying for the West, are we ready for answers to their prayers?
