Great! A scrap guy down the street from me had a green Puch Maxi Luxe in green. I was sadly one day late... He gave it to the scrap yard.

I had the same thing, 2 speed automatic, gold color. Bought it used in '83 to ride until I got my license.

i have a 1979 Puch Maxi Luxe. same color with the 2hp 2 speed motor. bone stock i can get her up to 38mph. and i weight 160. There is no need to do performance upgrades to a za50 out side of a new pipe/carb, you will end up breaking more then the speed is worth in my opinion. best of luck getting her running!

Ooow never seen one of those before :-), it looks much like a "maxi s" to me, sprung back suspension, just the engine modification looks different, and in the uk the front light was different.

Spray some wd40 down the plug hole and leave it to soak for a few days.

I bet there isnt much wrong with it, puches have allways been good machines. :-)

I bought mine in NJ in 1978 for 450.00 and that HD service is plenty expensive
