If you're going to San Francisco.... we went there in summer 2008 (when we were 14) and shot the music video for this awesome song by the Mama's and the Papa's. Later we recorded it at our studio back home in Austria.

We combined it with two other songs and released it as an EP called "California Dreaming".

I have been coming back to this video for well over a decade over the multiple different YouTube accounts I have had. I listened to this when I was ten years old for the first time and now I am 23, this cover has been with me through so many life experiences and I will never forget how beautiful it is. I still cant tire of this beautiful song.

Prior to his passing, I was in communication with Scott McKenzie and I had sent him the link to the video. I asked him if he was familiar with it and he said he was, and he thought they had done a great job. I wonder if the twins themselves had ever been in contact with McKenzie, but if not, I can assure the twins he heard it, and he liked it.

as one who has lived this song most of her life i never get tired of hearing it. the hip movement lasted much longer than the summer of love. many of us died trying to get to san franscisco. sometimes i wish i had! i lived on the other side of the continent and the hip movement was still strong there. long after the hip generation faded many of us remembered. i sang this song at livingston manor trying to adjust to the science of creative intelligence. which was anything but intelligent. i went three times to that place and had to leave early each time. later when 7000 people from all over the world gathered in the tm domes in fairfield i was there with the same song in my heart. i held that love in my heart when i raised my family and struggled to make a living. and in the evening of my life i still hold hope in my heart for the new explanation. most of my hip friends are long gone, many have died. but when i see children of children singing this and placing flowers in their hair i know that hope will never be lost.

The first time I heard San Francisco I was eight years old driving with my mother in Jamaica at nearly midnight. I asked her where is San Francisco? That was a long time ago and marked what would be the beginning of my California dream. Since then, I cannot count how many times I have listened to this song.
