I get it’s like seeing your nose where if you don’t pay attention you won’t notice it but some people get fixated on things and being fixated while having a blind spot while in an f1 car is dangerous

Kinda reminds me of the Aeroscreen in IndyCar the last few years. Many people hate the look of it. I think it looks slick and adds a lot more protection so why not use it?

When the halo was introduced, they removed the front roll hoop. Without the halo, Zhou’s car would have flipped back over as that’s what the roll hoop did - similar to Alonso’s McLaren crash in Australia when he rolled a number of times.

I like the look of the halo visually, but I find it hard to believe when people state that 5-10 drivers would have now been dead without it.

Do you really think that f1 had 0 casualties for 5 years and for 20 years before that, but magically in the past 3 years, 150 crashes would have been fatal without the halo? It’s like when a bullet grazed a helmet but if the helmet wasn’t there it would have whizzed by your head.
