On the mono tip, in ableton you just add "utility" to the track and the use the mono to stereo knob as the envelope.

Be careful with that writers block advice. It's not about not wanting to do something. It's quite the opposite. It's wanting it really bad, sinking hours and hours into it yet having a shitty product at the end. Consider yourself lucky if that doesn't happen to you. :) Other than that, another awesome video mate.

These are all things I have figured out during my 2+ years of producing and I can say that they are in fact VERY good tips.
Listening to and, most importantly, producing music are the key factors to developing a musical mind and ear. Don't stress out about making music. Just produce, listen and dont be shy to try new things and it will eventually come to you.

I have a suggestion, that maybe you want to turn into a video possibly, what advice do you have for a producer who does not want to stick to 1 genre, but still get some recognition? I've heard so many times in the past that it's best to stick to one type of genre to get an audience that is committed, but I like too many styles to be able to stick to one genre. I for one, like you made an alias a few years back that was gaining traction exclusively with techno, but after a while it felt like I was being suffocated creatively, by having to stick to that one genre.
