One very important thing about docker is that a docker container uses the kernel of the underlying operating system. Thats why they can get so small (alpine is 5mb !!) This means that you cant really use windows images on linux or vice versa.

BUT windows has also a running linux kernel to be able to run docker images.

Is this the start of a series on Docker for machine learning? There are not many videos on this specific topic, so you should probably continue and go deeper with containerized experiments, cloud storage for artifacts and data, configuring s3, Nginx and finally the deployment. But if you stop with just this video, it won't have any impact. It's good for introduction, but too simplistic. By the way, I’ve been watching you for 3 years, keep up the good work :)

Thanks for the tips! I'm just confused about what would happen if I create a docker container, parametrize it to use some local GPU and then share the container to a GPU-less server. Will docker revert to using the CPU only?
