Oculus quest 2 controller not working

I had he same problem. I would try to pair it on the mobile app. Go to devices > your headset (should be on it automatically) > headset settings (if greyed out make sure Bluetooth is on, and your headset and phone / tablet are on the same network and are near each other) > Controllers > Pair new controller > Select left or right, depending on which is broken, > hold down either menu button + Y for left controller, or oculus / meta home button + B for right controller > click on the controller when the option pops up. If that isn’t the reason, check if you have 2 oculus’s and make sure you were using the right controller, I was just using the wrong controller (I did a factory reset so I am pissed, very relieved, but very mad too lmao). Hopefully this helps, and btw if the headset settings button is still greyed out, make sure you are on the “owner” account. If still greyed out contact meta support team.

If u want to fix this try to take off the black part of ur controller, take off the battery door and pry open the black cover off the controller then try to put the batteru in when the black cover is off and lmk if it worked !

basically, if youve tried repairing the controllers, waiting 2 minutes for them to fully die after taking out the battery, and getting a new battery, get a replacement with your warranty, its 2 years

how to fix this: go too the oculus app, click on devices then go too controllers, click on which controller then unpair it then repair it and it will start a firmware update on the controller then after its done updating the controller should be back too normal

edit: if this didn’t work then you might have too factory reset your headset with controllers unpaired then do the set up and then the controller pairing is next you just follow the steps and done you’re controller is back

Mines been doing this for days and all the oculus support team told me was to factory reset my oculus and change the batteries which didn’t do shit. I gotta feeling oculus doesn’t know how to fix this problem and really doesn’t care to try and fix it.

So mirse code sos is factory reset and repair controller wait 2 mins and it would work if it doesn't then set it diwn for 9 to, 19 days and soon it will be good

FACTORY RESET may be the solution if your controller does not WAKE or VIBRATE! This was my PROBLEM - it would just blink the white light on the ring. Tried the battery thing like 10 times and unpairing and pairing the controllers again and again. Gave up on the QUEST for a few months because I thought I would have to buy a new controller. Finally found this thread which suggested FACTORY RESET and the controller connected immediately!

for me its not blinking. i was trying to turn off the hand tracker settings and i clicked on something in a setting which was to turn off the hand movement and tracker. now, my controller wont connect and i keep trying to press all of the buttons.

I was having this problem with one of my nephews and I actually decided to unpair the controller from the phone or in the app and it was able to let me pair it again and that way I was able to fix it I don't know if that's actually in is he fixed but if you guys want to try it might work

If nothing works factory reset. Or send the controller in a box to eBay or meta or so. They can repair it and it works! Or buy a new controller.

Try restarting your headset.

I had this same exact problem and after my headset turned back on- my controller began to update then worked.

I’d bet even money that this controller has liquid damage to the ribbon latch connectors on the main board.

It's the space between the positive side of your battery and the connection. Just put a small ball of aluminum foil on positive side and it will pair. Gl
