I have one solution that might work for you. I was having the same problem. First try replacing both batteries with new ones or different batteries then turn your oculus off for 5mins and when you turn it back on move yourself into a different room. I noticed that one of my controllers did not work in my room area anymore so try finding a new spot to play. Keep trying different area until it works again

I’m not trying to sound or be rude, but the information / troubleshoot that you gave was common sense. The remote will not work if the battery is dead, or if there is damage to the remote (water, etc.).

How about those of us whom have new batteries installed, and the lights are blinking and showing that the remote is getting juice? How do you reconnect the remote to its oculus then? I’ve been trying to reconnect my left remote to my oculus for the past 2 weeks. No water damage…..no bad batteries….no wear and tear. My oculus is fairly new (can count on 1 hand the times I have used it). It’s kept stored in a cool and dry place when not in use. No falling, or bumping of the device. Are you able to help, or point me into the right direction? Your knowledge will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

@LoFi Alpaca, question for you, my oculus controllers died and I bought new double A batteries for it and my left controller seemed to charge back up but my right controller stayed dead and disconnected from my oculus even though I double checked the batteries and they are both in right. What do I do?

After taking my controller apart to replace the joystick, I put most of it back together, inserted the battery... and nothing happened. You see, I'd forgotten that I needed to press some buttons to get it to light up (I usually have my headset on before I even pick up the controllers). So y'all can take the mickey as much as you like, but this video actually saved me from giving up on a controller that I thought I'd killed in the process of repairing it.
