In this video, I explain ALL of the content required for the "Evolution + Speciation" section for AQA A Level Biology. This includes: causes of variation, effect of selection on allele frequencies, types of selection, allopatric speciation, sympatric speciation and genetic drift. Time stamps are in the comments!
I also go through a few exam questions and explain their mark schemes.

The content in this video crosses over with other exam boards too.

Please leave a comment if you have any questions, I'll be more than happy to answer them!!! :)

I always have a problem with the mark scheme. I’m usually getting the knowledge right and put down what I think but I always find that the mark scheme wanted the same idea worded differently, and because of this I lose marks unnecessarily. How am I able to tell how the question wants me to word something? For example at 20:10, I would have put ‘schizophrenia is influenced more by genetics than environment’, would I have got the mark? If not, how am I supposed to tell I need to put ‘greater’ and ‘lesser’

Hello, for question 1a how do you know that the species were geographically isolated? The questions states that the two species were found on mainland USA but not that they were geographically isolated. Would appreciate any help thank you!!
