Owned 328 as it was my childhood dream car but I sold it and looking to buy a 308. Love the toggle switches on 308.

They both look amazing and better than any other Ferrari made in the last 20 years.

Good Review !👍

The words 'supercar' and 'hypercar' are used way too much and incorrectly. They were called sports cars until about 2001.

FERRARI 288 GTO -
which appeared as a stunning looking 308 was released in very late 1984, AND prior to the new updated 308, the 328.

We were all stunned by its killer looks i.e. finally Ferrari had improved upon the beautiful lines of the 308.
However, appearances is were the similarities stopped as the twin turbo V8 amazed everyone.

Confusion reigned in very early 1985 when the 328 appeared.
NOTE - the 288 GTO we found out was specifically commissioned for the then Group B racing group which ceased to exist literally two months after the 288 GTO was produced.

THE Ferrari 288 GTO
is now ( arguably ) knowns as the first of the modern day
"super cars" and,
my favourite!
It was briefly THE fastest car in the world as it had cracked the 200 mph barrier and could do 0 - 62 mph in less than 5 seconds !

We Ferrari fans were both stunned and amazed when the Porsche 959 appeared one year later. It was markedly more powerful and way faster than the Ferrari 288 GTO !
NOTE - We now know that Enzo Ferrari then hastily commissioned the now famous F 40 to match the Porsche 959's amazing performance.

Filled with errors on facts, unfortunately. Started with 308 GTB launched in 1974. Wrong. Never mentioned engine differences between GTB and GTS models, ie, dry sump in GTB. HP figures also wrong aligned with the wrong model. These are the numbers: 308GTB/S (Carbs) 255bhp. 308 GTBi/GTSi (Inj) 214 bhp. 328 series, 240bhp. 328 QV series, 270bhp. Beautiful cars nonetheless. Previous owner and fan.

The 328 is considered one of the most reliable Ferraris, amongst Ferrari owners. The 328 had much better fuel injection, it was easier to maintenance, and the last year actually came with ABS. Its the superior car on paper, and personally I thought they looked better, much like the contrasts between the Testarossa and the later 512TR.

The 308 is nothing compared to the 328. The 328 was superior in every way, but it’s easy to see, Ferrari was just selling only on the name as the performance is an absolute joke.

Always admired both, but went the Porsche route instead. Thoroughly enjoyed owning 911’s but probably should have had a Ferrari.

Nothing against the 308 but in my honest opinion the 328 is the better car. It looks better .

It would be good to know, what if the engines were 'restomod' to receive an electronic fuel injection system as well as ignition, how much power these engines would deliver!!! These cars never had a proper injection system, only these mechanic Bosch K system, which is bullshit, to make people believe it was the pinnacle of fuel injection. As usual marketing people managed to fool everybody . . . There a lot of standalone ECU systems now available! Let's see how these rich collector bastards, who don't understand anything about vehicles can make their car better! The prices keep rising artificially because these idiots!

Disagree. These “Magnum PI” Ferraris, despite being poster fodder, were far too common, pedestrian and underpowered to be in the Top 10. It was the Ferrari that too many could afford lol.
