The Land Rover Range Rover Evoque and Discovery Sport share many parts, but they have two distinct characters - and different talents. Plenty of people can't decide which is best for them, so in this video, Sam Sheehan delves into the details to help you figure out which suits you better!

At a glance, the Evoque is the stylish sibling, and the Discovery Sport is the more functional alternative. Although, as ever, it's not quite that simple. Both Discovery Sport and Evoque share the same range of petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid engines, and both cars have near-identical dashboards and infotainment systems.

Look closer, and you'll spot more storage and passenger space in the Discovery Sport, but more pizzaz and gloss to the Evoque interior finish. Rear legroom is greater in the Disco, and there's more boot space, but the Evoque is shorter in length and therefore easier to park.

We had both, the Evoque was a bit too small for us as a family so upgraded to the Discovery Sport which was a fantastic car.

DS is definitely for families with kids. Evo is for single or young couple. I picked DS over Evo because of the practicality to travel with kid

The Discovery Sport wasn't really my type. But the exterior looks of 2024 model are much better.
I think it's becouse I prefer stylishness over ruggedness.

Everyone seems to slag these vehicles off. Its all ive ever bought and wouldn't buy anything else . Mine have always been ok including freelander. Evogue and now discovery. All cars have some problems

How humiliating for that unregistered DS! Being compared to an Evoc: outrageous! They are similar in one respect though: you get to know your local Landy Service Centre equally well whichever you buy. Sorry, was that a bit cynical? No! I didn’t mention insurance 😮

Ugly looking heaps of junk. Bring back proper Land Rovers like the original Discovery and the real Defender. Check Trustpilot reviews before you buy into Land Rover or Jaguar.
