Foxwell NT301 Update Tutorial (2022 Walkthrough Guide)

Is the Foxwell NT301 the easiest diagnostic tool in the industry? This video tutorial will guide you through the update process for the NT301 from Foxwell. Despite its age, the NT301 is still very popular, no doubt due to its low price.

Are there any recent updates on the NT301? If so when/what month did they upload it for public use? I'd like to update mine if there is an update available because I use it on my BMW whenever it throws a "Service Engine Soon" light at me, AND hitting the 92k mile mark that's been quiet regularly. Lol Mostly sensors, thermostat, faulty circuit in fan. Typical beamer codes. The 2014 BMW X1 SDRIVE is a good fast little car if taken care of and maintenanced properly. As far as a car it handles and drives better (with a twin turbo" than any of the cars I've owned and super good on gas to boot. I've owned some really fast cars but for around 250hp not bad at all I was surprised. Anyways, hopefully you see my comment soon about the scanner because I don't have a PC anymore, the ex got the laptop for her birthday when I was with her lol Haven't had the time lately to go buy one. However, a buddy up the road from me has a computer I can get the update done on today if there is an update available.

The NT301 is advertised widely as being compatible with Windows 7, etc.
However, it is NOT compatible with Windows 7.
There is NO WAY that you can ever download updates from Foxwell's website.
You can't access the UK site from the USA, either. (Why?)
You will also find that the Red Chinese site so commonly listed by search engines is a 404 dead-end, too.
Put simply, Foxwell does not support this device at this time. (April 2, 2022)
All search engine 'update' links just point to sales pages. And on those pitch pages --> all 'update' links are dead.

All done but when trying to update an error message says: Check my internet connection. My Internet connection is just fine. Any idea of the solution ?

Plug into OBD outlet. Yellow caution symbol is illuminated, but not codes found. Explanation?

Can you please help me that when Request for live data after it is connected, it could not give me the information or it says 'this function is not supported'.. it is on fox well 301 the same device u ve on the video!

Bought this reader for bmw e46 m3 here in the uk, it lights up but it won’t connect to the car for some reason. The port is fine as my friends expensive reader works fine. Bizarre

Thanks for the video! Is there a way to register this product for their 1 year warranty? I found my serial number, but I can't find the registration password. When I inserted the USB to the computer and went to the "About" tab, I was able to get the serial number but no password. Does that mean that the warranty registration with this scanner is not necessary?

Can't update using Windows 11. Software says device not connected. Looking at device manager shows driver issue.

8/26/2022 I have an new NT301. NOT I download, I get an Error message from Foxwell's website and your link gave me an error message that my windows 7 pc cannot read this file or it is damaged....HELP!

I had only used my 301 about10 times. I went to use it on my van after not using it for 2 months and it would not power up. Tried another 2 cars and nothing. Checked cable for breaks and damage. Updated on PC and it came on ?. Tried on van and nothing. Tried the other 2 cars and nothing. Foxwell said it was just out of guarantee and could not help but could do a deal on the next one up.

I have connected my device nt301 to pc but the ntwoner app says no device connected. The device is powered when plugged in and holding the help button takes it to the blue screen program mode but nothing connects. This is my own cable I'm using as the one it came with would not even power the device and pc says unknown device. Need some help here.
