Should You Buy a 2in1 Scanner? - Foxwell NT301 Plus Review

Scanners and diagnostics tools come in many different flavors, but this one also includes a battery tester. This additional functionality makes this a 2 in 1 device that can test regular flooded, AGM, AGM Spiral and GEL batteries and many different battery standards such as CCA, MCA, CA, JIS, DIN, SAE etc. The great thing is that you can run the codes using the OBD2 functionality, see live data or if your vehicle will pass emissions and using the same device test the battery inside and outside of the vehicle! You don't even have to disconnect or remove the battery.

Thanks for making this review video. All scanner companies, including Foxwell's advert for this very model of scanner, imply that all of their devices can scan and clear codes for every sensor in the car. Thanks for clarifying that this one only does the drive train. That takes it off my list.

If my car is cranking but not starting, and I want to confirm that its not something besides the fuel pump; will one of these analyzers work if the engine is just cranking or if just the ignition is on? Thanks for any guidance.

Will it work on a diesel Renault kangoo 2008 as im told its more for petrol cars and amost no information for diesel cars.. please help ..

What do you think about the Ancel AD530 which tests battery through the OBD2 connector?… no need to put clamps on physical battery. Thank you for your input.

Definitely not for me, but I can see where it might help somebody who's not mechanically inclined at all.
