Sosa Set To Finally Complete £11m Forest Switch! Striker Search Continues! Nottingham Forest News

Nottingham Forest fans, get ready! The long-awaited transfer of Paraguayan winger Ramón Sosa could finally be reaching its climax. According to the reliable journalist John Percy, negotiations with Brazilian club Talleres are progressing well, and a medical might take place as early as this week if talks continue to advance!

While there’s still some work to be done, Percy’s report suggests that both clubs are keen to finalize the deal. If negotiations continue on the right track, Sosa could be heading to Nottingham for a medical soon, potentially becoming the club’s latest signing. Talks broke down last week after Forest change the terms of the agreement late on, but it seems now that a deal will happen for a around the £11m mark.

Nottingham Forest is looking to make a statement by securing a top-tier striker before the deadline. Reports are linking Forest with two exciting names: Santiago Giménez from Feyenoord and Evanilson from Porto. Hello from Greece NFC cousins, i dont believe the story about Jota at all. Olympiacos best signing in summer was a winger Velde who had a goal and assist against NFC, also we are expecting Podense to return. Why Marinakis will send Jota to Greece and just bring heat on himself with NFC fans when Olympiacos doesnt even need a winger . My opinion that is just a tactic to push Wolves who was delaying the selling of Podense to Olympiacos and was trying to sign Sosa first. But we dont have to wait long for the answer, according to the rules a player cant play for 3 teams in a season. Jota has already played 1 game for Guimaraes for European qualifiers, if Saturday he is in the team against Bournemouth, is all over, he cant be sold again, or actually even if he is sold he will have to wait a year to play for his new team. If Jota is out of the squad this Saturday then is getting really suspicious.

My thoughts...

Firstly feel vindicated somewhat as I've been suggesting Gimenez as a transfer target for a while, now. They must not only be watching your vids, Wolfie, but they must also be reading my comments ;-)

I think he is a great player - however I want to talk about Danilo. IF the numbers are true and IF we're able to get a very large transfer fee, I MUCH rather sell him (or sacrifice him) and potentially use that money toward the striker budget and get a far superior striker. This is absolutely the missing jigsaw piece.

I'd also get a Bradley Locko type full-back in ASAP and shift Aina to the RB position.

I'd also shift Nico on. Re-use these funds for another CB. We have 3 that we can rely on in Murillo, Omobamidele, and Milenkovic.
I DON'T think you can rely on Boly as much, and Zach Abbot as much YET. SO for me, that leaves us with 3 that can perform the full 90.


I'd also shift Elanga on. I agree with you on his footballing IQ. I don't think it's there. He'll have a few good runs but then underperform for much of the season. If we're able to get a very large amount on him it's a no brainer for me.

So in a nutshell:
-Shift Danilo on
-Shift Nico on
-Shift Elanga on

Others to shift:
-Toffolo
-Worrall
-Richards
-Awoniyi
-Wood

Bring in:
-New GK
-New LB (Locko as an example)
-New CB that could also potentially play as a CDM
-New RW (I’d love to see someone like Edon Zhegrova come in - electric player)
-New SC

Don't be surprised to see Sosa in a more forward position. He seems very similar to a young Suarez.

Now if only they'd seen my comments re: Hansi Flick. Oh well. Obviously Barce did :P
