im convinced this man would test as a genius with a high IQ. i've seen him live a few times and his sets/mixes are like none other than i've heard, mostly due to his ability to combine music from a wide variety genres by hearing what most of us cannot: the intricate similarities and the potential for them to fit seamlessly into a mix with music from completely opposite genres. it takes a very creative, intuitive, and intelligent mind to do what he does, imo. For instance, he dropped Shakira 'she wolf' in his set i saw live this past summer and shortly followed up with a punk song. and it sounded perfect and beautiful. everything he touches becomes this portal into this world of immaculate musical beauty. i am so grateful to be alive and be able to experience his music and sets.

I love the fact that hes using the two turntables with 7 inch records simply to add bird chirping and ambient for the flow through the whole set. Genius

i love how at 26:48 he uses the right plate to make those two extra "scratches".
it fills up the void between the tracks and builds up to the next one beautifully.
while most DJ's abuse scratching, he makes an instrument out of it. absolutely genius

I’m in bliss. Cliché that only now with Skrillex shows i decided to dive further into Four Tet, but i’m so grateful to discover so many years of unheard music and mixes by this person.

Have only seen him once but he is so very, very good at building his set up, it's so subtle you don't even realise it's happening. We started off his set swaying and before we knew it we were absolutely frothing. From what I'm seeing in the comments and hearing from him the few occasions when he talks in this video this set is actually packed with sneaky unreleased cuts, as a treat. Love that, what a WEAPON.
