EXPORT Settings For Your Vertical Content!

Should you export in 4K or 1080p? Well, I've experimented with both and it seems like it doesn't play a big difference - what plays the biggest difference is your bitrate and total file size. The smaller the file size, the better your final upload will be. Here are the export settings I use for Premiere Pro:

1️⃣H.265 - the reason why I do H.265 instead of H.264 is because the H.265 codec compresses the video a lot more without losing quality. This is essential to platforms as the file size really matters.

2️⃣4K or 1080p resolution - from my experimenting, this doesn't really matter, but I would love to here some more I put on this.

3️⃣30 fps; 25 and 24 also works - 30fps is supposedly Instagram's limit

4️⃣✔️Render at maximum depth, ✔️Use maximum render quality - insures your export is the best quality it can be with the properties you've selected

5️⃣Bitrate CBR at 10mbps - 10mbps seems to be perfect for the 4k resolution, keeping the file size on the smaller side while not losing quality and creating lots of "blockiness" from the lack of bit rate.

6️⃣Aim to keep your file size around 15-60 megabytes. Slightly larger is ok but upload quality will start to get worse as the file size increases.

7️⃣Audio: AAC - I've seen that Linear PCM has some issues with Instagram and sometimes eliminates the sound. AAC is what you should use when uploading to Instagram

What if you use vbr pass 1? What would you put your bitrate at? Thanks
