I was honored with the chance to visit Lady Elliot Island on the Great Barrier Reef in January. Thankfully the reef is still in really good shape down there but I know more and more of it is getting bleached, especially up north. While I'm glad I got to see this marvelous living monolith we NEED to do all we can to ensure it's wonders can be enjoyed by our children, their children, and so on.

I wish now I had visited the reef when I was younger. But it was impossible to imagine that it would not always be there. Still can't get my head around that! Was getting set to email my bank, but I don't bank with any of that lot. 😋

Its insane how a treasuer evolving and growing over millions of years can be gone in the blink of an eye, because of pure greed :/.

(its not even ecologically reasonable on the longrun, as this reef is the perfect ecosystem to grow all the fish we need. This needs to be regulated!)
