The Credo from the Mass in D (1844) by Otto Nicolai. Conducted by Robert Vickery on the Feast of the Solemnity of Mary, January 1, 1996. The soloists are Linda Smith-Collins (soprano), Joan Lindusky (alto), Stephen Schmall (tenor), and John Jagoe (baritone).

In the 1830s, Nicolai became musician to the Prussian embassy in Rome. The paintings in the video are of Rome.
