i didn’t realize this whole thing was 5 hours long, and it’s crazy to think you’ve been working on it for two years. i remember the first episode like it was just a month ago, i swear. i’ve been part of this community for a long, long time now, and it’s been so amazing to see it grow and flourish. i’ve said it so many times before, but your work is phenomenal. no matter how crazy life gets, i can always come back to your narrations. As a historian and lover of horror, I always find it fun when literary tropes travel back and forth in "discovered" diaries and the like! Cold down the spine, hairs rising on one's head, all the reporting on the neurological bodily effects of fear, was a fashion invented in the 1860s with Blackwood et al - a means of getting the reader to "feel" the terror. The idea of a report from the 1500s, or the like, detailing such things, is just a pleasant reminder of the pervasive and fundamental tropes of the genre.
