Elden Ring is an action role-playing game developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The game is a collaborative effort between game director Hidetaka Miyazaki and fantasy novelist George R. R. Martin, and is scheduled to be released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on February 25, 2022.

Elden Ring takes place in the realm of the Lands Between, sometime after the destruction of the titular Elden Ring and the scattering of its shards, the Great Runes. Once graced by the Ring and the Erdtree which symbolizes its presence, the realm is now ruled over by the demigod offspring of Queen Marika the Eternal, each possessing a shard of the Ring that corrupts and taints them with power. As a Tarnished — exiles from the Lands Between who lost the Ring's grace — summoned back after the Shattering, players must traverse the realm to ultimately find all the Great Runes, restore the Elden Ring, and become the Elden Lord.

Elden Ring is an action role-playing game played in a third-person perspective and features elements similar to those found in its predecessors, the Souls series as well as Bloodborne and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, with gameplay focusing on combat and exploration. Director Hidetaka Miyazaki explained that players start with a linear opening but will eventually progress to freely explore the Lands Between, including its six main areas, as well as castles, fortresses, and catacombs scattered throughout the vast open-world map. These main areas are interconnected through a central hub that players can access later in the game's progression — similar to Firelink Shrine from Dark Souls — and will be explorable using the character's mount as the main mode of transport, although a fast travel system will be an available option. Throughout the game, players will encounter non-player characters (NPCs) and enemies alike, including the demigods who rule each main area and will serve as the game's main bosses.

Combat in Elden Ring relies heavily on character-building elements found in previous Soulsborne games, such as calculated, close-ranged melee-based combat with the use of skills, magic abilities, as well as blocking and dodging mechanics. Elden Ring will introduce mounted combat and a stealth system.

Brad, if you equip 'finger seal' (you have it in your inventory), you can use the incantations i.e. the spells. You can also two-hand your weapon to increase the damage it does. On the sidenote, love your content. Keep it up!

By the way, the jellyfish summon is amazing. It does poison damage, so even after it has perished, it still does damage long after. It’s great against bosses.

Man I just got deep into Elden Ring (first souls game), its been fucking amazing playing and just enjoying the world, love watching you deal with what all of us have, nervousness about bosses, finding your own grind, and building your character for you. I wish people wouldnt play with meta builds and shit and play like you. Its been two years since you uploaded this, but glad i went back and found these videos

You might not see this but that bloodhounds weapon has a secondary special attack (kind of) once you have done the special spinning attack you are going to want to instantly do a normal heavy attack. It essentially makes you move insanely fast and jumps towards to the to argent with a slash. It is hard for the enemies to dodge it and deals some nice damage.

Hey Brad, love the videos! Just something that took me forever to notice on my playthrough - the bloodhound fang weapons special attack has a 2nd attack to it. After you use it and perform the swing and roll back, follow up with a 2nd attack and you'll perform a small teleport/dash forward and strike. Read the description of the item if needed. Hope this helps - it sure helped me when I found out!

That trap chest was the first chest I opened as a level 7 prophet. Hadn’t even gotten the horse yet and didn’t know I could teleport! Safe to say it was a grind

Definitively a different experience than mine about 30-40 levels lower.

36:11 you're on a mission to kill the shard bearers/rune holders and restore the Elden Ring and become the Elden Lord. Different areas are controlled by different shard bearers. You learn this at the round table later. But you need to go kill Godrick the Grafted in Stormveil castle to get more of the storyline

Brad you just walked past a map fragment at 43:30 it was right there on your left side, you can also see them on your map. When you go into a new area the map fragment will be shown on the map as a small brown tower/phallic looking thing.

Hey Brad! You were right with the stat scaling bit. Around level 40 you start getting diminishing returns on levels in the sense that they provide less total increases, generally once you hit 40 you should switch to other stats unless you are super high level and specializing in a certain stat or if you are trying to get a weapon requirement that is more than 40.
