The concept of seeing something you’re not supposed to see and then being followed and killed by said thing is one of my worst nightmares, so that first one got me

The most unbelievable thing in this series is that despite being set in the US none of these idiots were armed and tried to shoot at this "Intruder".

analog horror needs to stop trying to present static images and paintings as "video footage", it sticks out like a sore thumb and obliterates any suspension of disbelief.

the song that played in the "i will wear your skins" part is "teddy bear picnic" by henry hall. not only does the old-timey song add to the creepiness of it, but also the lyrics may have a connection to the story- most notably the ones we hear in the video, "if you go down in the woods today, youre sure of a big surprise" likely meaning the chamber in the woods. plus, the next line tells you to go in disguise- perhaps the skins are a disguise for these weird creatures?

This analog horror series was the only one to actually make me feel like I was watched for some reason

Edit: what is the most spooky analog horror series that you have seen?

Sorry but im getting tired of analog horror relying solely on mimicking humans and creepy distorted faces, there's other ways horror can be implied besides doing this over and over.

jump scares and shock value =/= analog horror

Nice coverage of this series! While it’s kinda creepy, it’s a bit too formulaic & similar to many other previous series out there (Mandela, Greylock & Gemini especially) that it loses some of its impact for me. This would be a great intro series if folks are unfamiliar with AH in general though!
Still interested to see where it goes.

This is literally just Mandela Catalogue, down to the warped faces and weird whispering.

Anyone else feel like analogue horror is kinda doing the anime/isekai too many iterations thing? Like it was creepy and compelling for a while, but each successive new series is more on-the-nose and gratuitous with the humanoid nightmare creatuers, than the last.

Imo still images can only get you so far. The reason why the new Mandela catalogue videos hit so much harder that the originals is that you see the alternates *MOVE*. You finally get to see this esoteric threat upfront, and it's horrifying. That's also why greylock works so well. It understands you can't have full frontal scares all the time. Sometimes the threat of something scary is so much more distressing than seeing something actually scary.

i love how analog horror got its claws in you, and doesn't look like it'll be letting go anytime soon.

I can’t tell tell if analog horror YouTubers just pretend to find these series scary for views or if they genuinely don’t get tired of the same thing happening over and over

I can't take the section at 22:30 seriously because it plays the music from the TF2 spinning heavy meme
