I've never driven a proper AWD before, but I've liked that RWD allows me to adjust rotation mid corner with the throttle, while FWD generally needs to rotate on corner entry.

I’ve been rallying with FWD for years now. I’ve tried RWD and AWD but they just don’t give me that same feel in the corners. No matter how bad my car slips I can just floor it to recover.

driving RWD All you need is throttle control skill and butt sense

Great topic that hasn’t been clearly examined and covered by you tube video content . After many fwd cars I’m very confident in a slid in them but now after not having a rwd for so long I’m in need of this type of information . Love to see a deep dive video on this topic. 👍🇦🇺❤️

I think it’s the understeer aspect of both that makes them similar in this conversation.

The comments are surprisingly well educated here.

~Don't hear the common noob claim:" That's a powerslide from FWD"

~When in reality RWDs allow powerslides, not typically FWD, as your majority oversteer is triggered before the apex, not after

~Another thing the novices don't normally get; powersliding is still apparently drifting.

In rally racing, both understeer and oversteer can fuck you up, but I personally would take oversteer, that’s my preference, but when you practice with RWD and get good with it, it will absolutely tear up the Rally course.

The big difference is the size of the coconuts you need to drive a RWD car on the limit
