Last June I returned to the place in Italy where I spent my late teens and early twenties. Back then this area of Italy wasn't known at all and I was afraid it would now be overcrowded like most places in the world (thanks to social media, where everyone seems to feel the need to share every hidden corner they encounter). To my happy surprise, it is one of those few places in Italy that is still authentic and not overflooded by people who are lining up to take IG photos. So this will stay my little secret escape in Italy. I am not sharing the names of the places you will see in this video, simply to protect this area from overtourism. Let's keep this place an off the beaten path place in Italy, an actual hidden gem! I do want to show all the beauty this area has to offer and I hope it will inspire you to look for lesser known places in the world and keep them to yourself as well.
