Hi Terry, I really appreciate your videos and insight. I am on furlough 6 months yet my employer during this time they have asked me to work for free 0% furlough and do demos, sign new clients, provide monthly forecasts, take part in internal commercial discussions, and public web conferences, this situation has gone on for 6 months and no end in sight. Essentially I am contributing to the company's revenue at no cost to them while the government pays me a temporary monthly compensation for the wage I am not receiving.
The employer has threatened to fire me if I don't work.
I know what they are doing is ethically wrong however I do not want to lose my job.
Any advice on what I should do would be appreciated, should I write an email to say I will no longer work for free and if they fire me at that stage I could claim unfair dismissal ?
