When you opened the silver roll and read the dates, you said 1964 several times. Those and dates prior are 90% silver. You got over 5 in the first one. 😁 You may want to check your coins again.

Just so you know:
1964 or older are 90% silver and worth $6.04 in silver spot.
1965 to 1969 are 40% silver and are only worth $2.47 in silver spot.

If all those roles were 90% you would’ve got a heckuva deal, but since they’re mix between 40 and 90 and the majority are 40 wasn’t the greatest deal unfortunately. However saving Silver is saving Silver. Keep posting coin vids and if you have questions feel free to message me

Once again, anything prior to 1965 is 90% silver. So all those 1964 Kennedy half dollars are 90% silver.

Only 65-70 is 40% all before 65 are 90%

Go to a super market with a Coinstar and ask at the service desk for the half and dollar coins. Youll find way more silver in the (usually) unsearched coins that people drop off. And most super markets are actually happy to have the coins taken off thier hands.

1964 Kennedy halves are 90% silver. He was saying 64's were 40%.

Melt value on a 90% silver half dollar is 6 bucks.

The barber half dollar (The very worn 1908 from the last roll, has stars on the reverse around the coin) was a nice find. People find those metal detecting, but almost never in a box of half dollars. 90% silver, but also 90% more interesting than silver.

You’re right about the name of the Walking Liberty. Also, the coin from 1907 is called a Barber Half Dollar.
