Personally i think the sedan is underrated. Everyone always talks about the hatchback but the sedan is lighter with better fuel efficiency, better rear visibility and still has a good amount of trunk space

I have the 23’ Mazda3 in the Carbon Edition AWD, coming up to 15k miles and it’s been fantastic!! Previously came from a 23’ Nissan Altima SV which was bought back from the dealer (it was a terrible car) and this new Mazda has had no issues, no dumb gimmicks, no crazy technology and the engine is simple and familiar for me to work on myself I absolutely love it, reminds me of my old 2009 Scion TC is some way it’s weird

I am disappointed that I didn’t go for this car when I was shopping for one. What pulled me away from this car was interior space, trunk size and fuel economy. The Honda Civic is better than the Mazda 3 in those Categories. However the Mazda 3 makes the Civic feel so cheap and low quality (I am comparing this with the 10th Gen Civic that I have)

My 2010 Mazda 3 has been the best car I've ever had. I'd definitely want a new one

I'm so glad I chose this (sedan). My 2023 order got delayed to Jan-2024 but I'll be getting the new 2024 model without having to pay anything extra. So psyched to receive it. Thanks for doing this video.

It would be nice to see them revive the Mazdaspeed sub-brand.

2019 Mazda3 AWD hatchback owner here with 24k miles on it. Love it. I'm in my early 40s, I've been driving BMWs for about 15 years before I switched to Mazda. Tired of the maintenance as BMW ages. Had my e90 for 12 years and the Mazda3 AWD hatchback with it's better suspension and transmission tuning compared to the FWD Mazda3 sedan is the closes to old school BMW driving dynamics.

Ditch the OE Toyo that came with the 2019 for Pirelli P Zero AS+ UHP and it's a game changer. Maybe I'll get forged wheels to replace the very heavy factor wheels. 186hp-tq would benefit with some 18x8 18-19lbs forged Konig wheels vs 18x7 31lbs stock wheels. Weighed it on a bathroom scale myself. P Zero was 19 lbs (OE Toyo 22.5lbs), wheels 31 lbs. Whopping 50lbs per wheel. 53.5lbs with OE tires.

For the US market where I live, the manual is still available on the premium edition for the 24 model year. I have it for the 2020 model year. Love the car

Manual transmission is still available and popular in Europe! But we don’t have the 2.5 engines…

I would pay an unholy amount of money to have mazda bring back the 6 and give it the 3.3L I-6 engine with two turbos
I also would pay a truly ridiculous amount of money if Mazda gave the 2.5 turbo a 6sp manual transmission

The 6MT is available for the 3 hatch in GT trim. I just bought one yesterday in Ottawa.

Wish they'd bring back Celestial Blue, that color was absolute fire.

Two things:
1. Rain sensing wipers are still an option. Perhaps turned off by default but it is in settings.
2. If using Apple Maps with Apple CarPlay turn-by-turn directions are now shown in the heads-up display. I don’t know if this is new for 2024 but it wasn’t in our 2021.

Good thing I bought a 2023 cuz I love my auto rain sensing wipers. Sucks they took that feature away cuz that's in many luxury or premium cars. Thank you for the video it was great.

The engineers for Mazda in early 2023 stated that the manual transmission in the turbo model cannot handle the 320 ft. lbs. of torque. I bought a 2023 Premium Plus Turbo in Soul Crystal Red with black interior and I love the car.

just came back from the dealer, yes 6MT is still available, but it only offers for GT trim with FWD, I should order it before it's gone for good, I'm in Ontario

Manual is still available in Canada, but only the GT Sport FWD trim. I just bought one yesterday (only one in Ottawa otherwise I'd have to order it). Coming from a 2014 Mazda 3 (bought used 2 years ago, and also manual), the one thing I found a bit jarring was the clutch pedal feel; where the 2014 is stiff and you can feel the bite point very easily, the 2024's is super light and very difficult, for me at least, to judge the bite point. Now, I only drove the car for about 30 minutes or so during my test drive, so I'm hoping it gets better as I adjust when I pick it up next week. Overall though, I really like the upgraded feel I'm getting over the 2014.

I feel like they’re saving the Manual for the speed 3

Great review! I was shocked to see the touchscreen on the display - I thought the new Mazdas only used the dial. Do you know if this is standard for all 2024 Mazda 3 models? Or specifically the Sport?

Miss my 2021 Polymetal Grey 3 Sport Turbo. Great car especially in Canadian winters with a set of Blizzaks.
Drove various 3’s for 12 years.
