How to Make Interesting Textures with Acrylic Paint

In this video I'm sharing how to create interesting textures and marks using acrylic paints. I LOVE brushes! I use them all the time. But I also like the different effects you can get by using unusual hardware store tools and things you find around the house.

It's REALLY important not to worry about making a painting when you are playing with new marks and textures .... that's why I am showing you something that definitely cannot be considered a painting ... playing is an essential part of my process and I firmly believe it needs to be part of yours too. That was fun. Only one caution....bubble wrap is used by so many "artists" now, that it's no longer a clever trick or something we all haven't seen too often in my opinion. I like the way Louise still considered composition, balance, & variety even while "just playing".

Love this! I have a huge glass bowl of all of my paint chips that I scraped off of all of my palettes from all of my paintings for the past 10 years lololol Artists are weird this I know.
