The “Will” in Will Smith is short for Willard not William.

"your brain is not quite as exact as a computer" is a huge understatement.

Then again, Back to the Future II in 1985 predicted that flying cars would be commonplace in 2015, and we all know how that turned out

“What did Chris chan do?” Is something the 2.5 gbs of brain matter cannot comprehend. Every time I try I keep on getting error messages saying this is fucked.

The funniest part of all of this is that, since we are not sure what exactly intelligence is, we don't know what exactly computers have to do in order to be "intelligent". We just want to be convinced that a computer is intelligent. Doesn't really need to be self aware.

Kinda like the internet, the past missed the mark on AI prediction, but we ended up with AI things that are probably just as impressive anyways.

Robots used to be the scientific marvels of the future, chrome beacons of hope that humanity can elevate itself above it's present station and ring in a brighter future for all. But now they're just stock monsters of the past along side orcs and goblins there to spice up your D&D game.

Love this series, a nice benchmark to base today's advancements on.

I've never understood "the human brain can hold X amount of data" because the data in our brains is way different than the data in a computer. We don't store our every waking moment as a referencable video, every conversation as a text file, and even if we did, that data gets warped every time its accessed, and often locked off entirely. There's no comparison to be made there.
