Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This YouTube channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!

I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.

I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!

On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.

If you enjoy the channel make sure you hit subscribe and also tap the notification bell so that you are always notified when I release a new video.

I have my first university exam in two hours, and I’m spending my time studying where it counts. ⛳️

I would love to see a video where Rick takes an absolute novice and coaches him. A before and after game to see the difference

Rick, I've been watching you for sometime now around 2-3 years. I've played my best 9 holes with 4 family members as witnesses and shot my first 35 (par 36) at 29 years old. No mulligans or anything. Surely you had a hand in that so I thank you for your knowledge! Cheers from Wisconsin.

The good ol' bump n run is EVERYTHING!! Can't tell you how many times I've cussed the game of golf by unknowingly using my 56 outside the green. Simple bump n run has definitely changed my game

This really spoke to me! Very guilty of taking the lob out near the green. Also going to do the swings you displayed at the end. As someone who is very stiff from weight lifting that is a must for me!

1. 0:25 - Clean grooves on clubs
2. 1:20 - Clean the ball on the green before putting
3. 2:07 - Check to read shots from around the green not just on the green
4. 4:09 - Don’t use too much loft for chipping around the greens (pitch wedge - 6 iron)
5. 5:39 - Warm up before the round

Can’t stress enough how useful those bump and runs are around the green, I used to use 56 or 60 and was so inconsistent. Now just the reliable bump and run has saved me many a time 👍🏻

I am the golfer that hates cleaning clubs, cleaning balls, and taking head covers on and off throughout a round- but they are so essential to playing well. I actually had to go and buy head covers off Ebay because I got so tired of them being in the bag last year, I threw them away at a golf course.

Now, in part because of Rick Shiels and probably just some maturation and being more in the moment- I appreciate it more.

As a new golfer, the tip regarding not using the lob wedge to chip feels like a godsend. Thank you Rick!

Using an 8i instead of a wedge has saved me so many times! Great tip. And the warm up tips are much needed. I almost never get a chance to do anything more stretch a little

As a relatively experienced golfer, I didn't think that I'd learn from this video and I wouldn't say that this is anything new to me but you have highlighted the importance of each of these aspects, so I will now be cleaning my clubs etc. more

I hit my best shot of my newbie golfing last week, it was approximately 225 yards in the ruff, hit my hi breed 8 inches from the hole for my first birdie in 8 golf trips. To boot I had my 1st and 2nd birdie ever on the same outing! I’m hooked, thanks for all your advice Rick, it’s hard to apply at the coarse being a new golfer, but lots of fun watching and hope it will help some sunny day!

I knew all these tips, but it was a great refresher. It’s the little things that may help you and these things are in your control. Thanks Rick!

1:26 glolf clubs. Lol. I often get words mixed up too.

Some great tips there, Rick. 👍

I just wanted to say thank you for your videos and your passion for golf. It inspired me to pick up my clubs today, which I haven’t touched for 12 years due to a back injury. Shot 50 for 9 holes. Put some of your short game teaching to work and it payed off. Thanks again.

Totally agree with the 2 club swing. I used to play cricket and warmed up with 2 bats. Took that into golf and that 1st swing on the 1st tee feels effortless.
