Imagine for a moment that they don't implement it into the website "bing" but rather the "windows search bar". That would be an absolute game-changer. Like, I could see that immediately removing 50% of my search requests for google. If they allow it to be connected to the web, it is suddenly WAY more capable... There are way more android devices than windows devices though. android is 43% of all devices windows is about 30% so it could be a pretty big hit to google search volume.

But when it comes to continuity of searches Chatgpt will shine. I search for something and then I ask further questions about the topic and gpt is able to give relevant answers to my follow up questions. Literally Jarvis for the internet.

Haha poor Bing, 1 billion people per month typing google into bing search is just sad. My guess is google has something similar to chatgpt that they just haven’t put out yet because they don’t want to disrupt their current gravy train until there’s an actual threat to their 90% plus market share.

Also, would you like a single answer for a search? I often find myself scrolling at least 1 page down to compare results in a blink of an eye, even now I’m kinda programmed to skip all the advertised top results and check first couple legit results….

I don't think Chat GPT will kill Google, but for the first time it gives Microsoft an actual competing product. While it is possible that Google has an equivalent, until I see it working as well, I will not assume so.

ChatGPT still gives incorrect info from time to time. Also schools will have to enforce it and that'll be a major headache for Microsoft.

Amit. ChatGPT is just GPT3. You need to be able to imagine what the technology improved into the future will be like. What will GPT4 look like? It will be ChatGPT that self improves.

Don’t say it won’t kill google yet. You are only judging off a small taste of the future.
