As the 2024 school year begins, I’ve decided not to assign traditional academic essays anymore. The reason?

One approach involves having students use AI tools to create essays and then evaluate the AI's performance. Another idea is to grade students based on their chat logs with AI, giving me a view into their thought process and interactions. These solutions won't be perfect, but they are required with the challenges posed by AI in education. I am committed to improve the way I teach & grade student writing.
