My engineered wood is more textured so the suction cup won't clamp to the board. Any suggestion?

Doesn’t that just create a gap on the other side? Or do you have to run them over one by one until you’ve reached the edge and put something in the edge gap to take up the space?

We bought a special dual suction cup tool especially made for this and it didn't work at all, the cups would slide over the wood, your mileage may vary.
