ive connected through bluetooth and wifi but can't get connected to a network. any clue why? i turn wifi off to use bluetooth because i have internet on my phone but still can't connect.

The Two devices are not compatible to tether together, because the Galaxy Tablet A 7 Lite is a Samsung Addroid device whereas the Apple iphone 6 Plus.

It's sad everyone now just calls any connection to another device "Tethering". The term Tethering, arose from physically connecting item A (as the original definition states) to item B with a wire or rope. But the way we mash and garble language now anything accessing resources of another device, wired or not is tethered. A phone acting as a hotpot is no different than a wireless router, it's only less powerful and has a  smaller coverage envelope. So if that means tethered, then every wireless connection in the world to anything else might as well be called a tethered connection.  Wifi is wifi, Bluetooth is Bluetooth, usb is usb, serial is serial, parallel is parallel, blah blah is beauty in the details.  oh well
