How to Stop a Sneeze (no surgery & no drug technique)

This is a simple video about how to stop a sneeze when it is coming on. The video is very short but I wanted to also use this video later for my video on how to edit videos very quickly. I am on the hunt for a video editor to make life a bit easier for me. I want to do a video on how to edit videos so people can see how I like to do it. Obviously I would like someone to do a better job than me, but I figure they would need to know my preferences at first. I currently have about 8 videos that I need to edit so I'm way behind.

I had an eye operation when I was 10 and the eye specialist didn’t want me sneezing for a few days and was also told this technique you mentioned, I’d forgotten about it until my cousin reminded me a couple of years ago. Personally I like a good sneeze 😊

Thanks for this, I just hope I can remember it when my allergic rhinitis is flaring up again. Sneezing once or twice when you need to is fine, but occasionally I get sneezing fits where I end up sneezing more than a dozen times in a row, to the point that my throat hurts and I just feel miserable. And that's despite antihistamines and nasal steroids and my best efforts to avoid Melbourne's awful pollen, etc.

Actually useful wonder if you had other techniques for stopping a sneeze… this is to remain extremely quiet as not to scare off animals in trying to photograph in the wild. Don’t know if it’s allergies or what but a sneeze has ruined to many trips.

DR vik is their any relation between stomach acid and ringing in the ear. Pls make video on that. I feel too much pressure on my ears with I am bloated or need to pass stool, also ringing in my ears. Is this stomach acid reflux going towards my ears. Pls 🙏 sir make video on this. THANKS 😊

I tried this technique today, I've allergic rhinitis so I sneeze quite a lot. I did this once & after stopping the urge 4-5 times, i finally sneezed, so ultimately it happened

Hello Dr Vik. I hope to remember to try this technique on my next sneeze, although, a nice hardy sneeze does feel good. I’m curious, though - why is it that the sneeze halts after putting pressure under the nose?

I find that by just keeping my eyes open, the sneeze doesn’t happen (for me at least my eyes have to be closed for the sneeze to actually happen)

You can press your tongue towards the roof of the mouth as soon as you feel the sensation of the sneeze.
