My favorite new office automation is to close the blind directly behind me when my webcam is in use so video conferences are not messed up by a super bright backlight. Thanks for the great videos.

I have an automation that turns on all of my outdoor lights when the front door is opened, if it’s after sunset or before sunrise. Also have it conditional on a Boolean that resets each evening, and they all go off by a timer, or sooner if one of us leaves the home zone.

Hey Shane, hope all is well. Long time watcher of the channel and wish you more success. I have a quick question for you. Have you been able to create automations via homekit using energy monitoring smart plugs? I am a full HomeKit user and I have HomePod as my main hub. I also uses hoobs to add unsupported devices. I haven’t found a way to create automations using energy monitoring smart plugs. Any recommendations? I appreciate your time!

Bruh. Your channel is amazing and very helpful! Do you use home kit shortcuts for scenes with Lutron Caseta? Considering doing RA2 Select for “Scenes” in the pico remote for easy access with my wife. But looks to be overkill and more complex and less easy to buy new switches from Amazon and whatnot. So maybe Apple Shortcuts is the answer? Video idea? 😍
