42.22 Chine means the backbone of an animal but more interesting it also means a mountain ridge... could be something to do with creation myths you mentioned. I find the mention of dismemberment and scattering of bones fascinating! Reminds me of archaeological evidence for excarnation and the moving about of skeletal elements from Neolithic burials.
