Candace, I was born and raised here in Nova Scotia and not too far from where Mr. Harris was born. Many families from here have been here for generations (my family included). Most of us, "bluenosers, " can trace our linage (without the use of DNA sites) from as far back as the ships that brought them here to the "new world."" Also, a lot of people kept diaries and family bibles with family trees. Many of our attics are rich in such history. With that said, if you need me to take a drive and dive, I certainly can accommodate. Many old timers are full of knowledge and are always more than happy to share stories and their attics. I'm recently retired and bored. Let me know if I can be of service.
PS, many of our smaller communities have little museums and often old ship ledgers and records that have not (nor ever will) be found online.

Hi there Candace.

I am from New Orleans and 61 years old. My father was a longshoreman and had first hand knowledge of Carlos Marcello 's hate of Bobby Kennedy. Weird, that Oswald was in New Orleans ( I would say in the first place communist attempted to evolved except for Hollywood and/or California) and Kamala's family came over here. I would say for what? My father supported a strike of the longshoreman's union in the early 70's and I saw him giving a speak on WDSU news but they cannot find it. They black balled him and we would get death threats all the time over main line telephone. I picked it up one time when I was 6 and heard it myself. My father had to bow down to them and tell him that he was wrong and he would never speak of it again. They restored him to the highest position of Supervisor and he had the power to pick and chose who would work and who would not. It effected him and he retired at 55 years old.

By the way, my parents were from Utila Bay Island, Honduras, but because they were white since there relatives came from England. They decided to legal immigrants to USA via New Orleans in 1962 because they sustained due to white only taxes.

I was raised in a small town in North Dakota. Graves go back to the 1800’s. Predominantly practicing Catholics. In our house racism was not there. Maybe because of not enough diversity. But I for one will always listen to the truth. My common sense is very uncommon. This is why Candace is so important to me. We do not have enough persons in the media telling the truth. I’m 56. In the late 90s, I went to planned parenthood in the US and was put on depo provera for birth control. I am convinced, after all these years, that it destroyed my body. After getting off of it, I was never able to get pregnant, and I suffered for years. I remember learning, by doing my own research, that human trials were done in Africa on women in villages who were not able to report the side effects. I was horrified to learn that. Candace, it’s been decades since I found that out and I’m SO glad you’re going to talk about it. Thank you!
