How To Practice Card Counting

just used the running count training and i set it to 4 decks with 2 seconds between cards and i didnt check the count till the end of the 4 decks and i kept track of it the whole time! its my first day learning as well so im really pumped! thanks for making these videos

I enjoyed my time playing blackjack in casinos. But I played in the 70s and 80s. But the casinos have made it very difficult to win. Maybe some casinos tolerate card counters more than others. But it takes time traveling to those casinos let alone finding them. Nevada casinos are alerted by bet variations. A card counter must have a sizable bet variation against a shoe game to succeed. That makes disguises much more difficult than in single deck play, where the player can give up much more and still win. I played primarily against a single or double deck game. But the 4 deck shoe at MGM in Vegas had some dealers cutting off only 1/2 a deck. That made that game excellent. It actually doesn’t matter how many decks are used. What counts is how many decks get cut off. Towards the end of my playing, the casinos made me feel as if I was stealing money every time I won. That took the fun out of playing for me. It’s the casinos that are stealing money from the public by offering only 6-5 on blackjack on single deck games. I’ve even heard about 7-6 payoffs on blackjack. Nobody should ever play those games. Nobody should ever play continuously shuffled games either. If nobody played those games, they would be forced to go back to 3-2 payoffs on all games.

Excellent explanations, and presented very well! But as I noticed the use of the terms "running count" and "true count", the distinction between them wasn't clear, is that in another video? Also, the term "EV" was not defined, although by it's context, I could see that referred to $, (like $ success or not at the end of a round?).

Hey Collin! I am very new to card counting, started teaching myself about a year ago. I've read a few books and have all the knowledge, my only problem is implementing all of the skills. I am not confident in my abilities, for example, that I am accurately estimating how many decks are remaining in a given shoe. I plan on getting a BJA membership but am not sure which plan would best suit me. Could you maybe steer me in the right direction? Thanks!

Casino near me has single deck game with 3:2. But the dealer deals the players cards faced down in table. It makes card counting so difficult and confusing. Any Tips how to get count cards easier in such situations? Any practice tips?

I’m very happy to be wrong. Happy to see that there are people who can still relieve those greedy casinos of some of the money that they don’t deserve. The casinos are taking advantage of the weakness of the public. I do my best to relieve the casinos of their money by educating as many people as possible that if they play mathematically unfair game long enough that they have no chance at all to even break even. I did this right at a Craps table in Reno and convinced that player to pick up his chips and cash them out at the cashier. That cost that crap table$100 of would be income that day and I was happy.
