In this video, you will learn how to start a solar farm business. Let's take a closer look at what goes into starting a solar farm business and how we can make yours profitable before you start one.

A solar farm is a large plot of land with a number of ground-mounted solar tracking towers. It is typically located on a working farm or other open, mostly undeveloped land. The Solar Farm Developers industry consists of businesses that install and build utility-scale solar power grid systems known as solar farms. Work in the industry includes, among other things, new construction, reconstruction, rehabilitation, and repairs.

Solar is the fastest-growing renewable energy source in the United States, producing enough clean, reliable, and affordable electricity to power more than 2.2 million homes. Solar has created tens of thousands of new jobs in the United States and has injected tens of billions of dollars into the American economy. In fact, in the last 18 months, more solar energy has been installed in the United States than in the previous 30 years.

I will forever maintain that no matter how bad you think your voice or reading out loud skills far better than this robotic voice.

But thanks for the content.

Kindly post longer and more detailed videos, covering the cost of equipment separately without the land and labor costs.

Solar definitely has a place in the energy mix but weather-dependant electricity is not the answer. Nuclear is zero emission, is energy dense/small footprint, and is available 24/7/365.

Hello, I live on a ranch at the SE edge of San Jose, CA. There is an 18MW power line owned by PG&E that enters the ranch and splits next to one of the houses. One line heads S through our middle and southern parcels then continues E towards I5. The other leg heads N with a drop at my home and the final pole transformer powers a well and the picnic grounds. 2 ridges run N to S having excellent sun exposure and would be a no brainer for a multiple MW solar farm. There are existing ranch roads on both ridgelines. Who should I contact to explore the idea further? A person from a major fuel/electric company was interested in putting a solar farm out here but no one mentioned it to me. I tried to contact him from a scribbled note but the phone number was disconnected.

I like solar, but within limits. All DC to AC power technology creates "harmonic distortion" of the sinusoidal waveform. It's the odd number harmonics (3rd, 5th, 7th...) cause real issues, usually within transformers. A harmonic is basically a frequency that becomes superimposed on the main frequency. If your main freq is 60Hz, a 7th harmonic would be 7 x 60 = 420Hz, and so on with the other harmonics. All transformers on the grid are specifically designed to work at the exact main freq, 60Hz in the US. Strange anomalies happen when a percentage of power going through the transformer are outside of design limits and these harmonic freqs are drastically different than the transformer design freq. These anomalies are sometimes just a reduction in efficiency, other times they manifest as localized hot spots and result in a dramatic reduction in the capacity of the transformer, reduced life, and even catastrophic failure. The grid can only handle a certain percentage of solar because of these harmonic distortions, so dense solar installations on the grid, causes issues. There are other issues in residential communities that have too many homes, which supply power to the grid. But, I'm not trying to write a book here, my thumb is getting tired.

Hi, thanks for brilliant video!! My ECP company has many ooportunities in investments here in Brazil. With the same $1M here you can convert in more than 15k per month.
Lands here are well covered by high peak sun time areas.

Very good information. I would love to have more information as far as funding. I currently have $0 start-up capital and would be completely reliant upon dept of energy, or usda or rural development...not sure who? as well as taking advantage of the tax credit and the 100% depreciation the first year that I learned of from a different video
